i need help with these questions. please answer as many as you can, and please show all working out.
all help is greatly appreciated

1. (2x-1)/3 – (3x+2)/4 >3

for these questions please make an equations to work from, that’s what i can’t do, i have trouble with worded questions.

2. Whe 5 is added to twice x, the result is greater than 17. What values can x take?

3. Two car hire firms offer the following deals:

Movit: $25 plus 6 cents per km
Rentlow: $20 plus 8 cents per km

a, If a client is to drive x km, express the cost of hiring a car from:
i. Movit, in terms of x
ii.Rentlow, in terms of x

b. For what distances does Movit offer the better deal?

9. A manufacturer discovers that it costs $(5x + 4800)to make x items ad the revenue obtained from selling the x items is $7x. Vor what values of x does the manufacturer make a profit?

Note: Profit = Revenue – Cost

1, Treat the greater than (>) as an equals to (=) to get an equation to start with;
(2x-1)/3 – (3x+2)/4 >3
(2x-1)/3 – (3x+2)/4 = 3
8x-4 – 9x -6 = 3*12
-x -10 = 36
x = -46 for the proper answer we should switch back to the > sign … ANSWER: x is less than -46

2,

Whe 5 is added to twice x, the result is greater than 17
. . . .5 + . . . . . . . . . . .2*.x . . . . . . . .. . . > . . . . . . . 17
5+2x >17
2x is greater than 12
x is greater than 6

3,
M: $25 +$0.06/km
R: $20+$0.08/km
equations in terms of x;
Movit.Cost = $25 + $0.06x
Rentlow.Cost = $20 + $0.08x
3b) We want to find when Movit.Cost is less than (<) Rentlow.Cost it terms of ‘x’ … Find the point where they are equal:
… 25+0.06x = 20+ 0.08x
… 5 +0.06x = 0.08x
… 5 =0.02x
… x = 250km
… so up to 250km Rentlow is cheaper, above 250km Movit is cheaper

9,
COST = $(5x +4800)
REVENUE = $7x
Up until the point that the revenue exceeds (>) the cost, the manufacturer is making a loss, the profit point is as soon as revenue>cost, so find what the point is where cost and revenue equal the same (then above that is profit and below it is loss)
IF $(5x+4800) = $7x … … (IE no profit and no loss, the point mentioned above)
$(5x+4800) = $7x (Dollar symbols ‘cancel out’
(5x+4800) = 7x (now take the 5x across)
4800 = 2x
x = 2400
That means they have to sell at LEAST 2400 units before they make a profit
Answer: x >2400

I want to use google ad words for a dating site aimed at single people in London.
I am not sure if I can filter single people using London websites
i.e London dating sites
Also not sure how to place the ads
So I need to find a person who will help at a reasonable hourly rate,that has knowledge of google ad words based in north london

Any Idea how I could find this person

I have found that when you first start out adwords can be very confusing but it does get alot easier the more you have a look around in it and the more you read

What are some good methods/techniques for increasing ROI with PPC advertising? How can Yahoo Search Marketing compete with Google Adwords in PPC Advertising, effectively?…? I want to get into affiliate marketing with PPC advertising. Need some tips on getting started. Help!? I have extensive PPC Advertising knowledge.How can I find people looking for help setting up their campaigns? Source http://www.onlinejobsforall.com

PPC advertising is getting more like SEO now because Google, for example, does not place your advert in the top position just because you placed the highest bid, instead it uses something called "Quality Score" to rank adverts. To get a high quality score you need to bid well, make sure your advert text, headline and landing pages are all relevant to the serach query. This is where a site that is well optimised (SEO’d) will work well for PPC too.

In terms of which provider to use, Yahoo is cheaper than Google as there are less people using Yahoo Search marketing. Although you will get quite a good number of advert impressions in Yahoo, Google will always drive more traffic because it is still the most popular search engine (in the UK anyway). Unfortunately, I have had very little traffic from MSN Ad Centre.

The good thing about PPC is that you can get results quickly and they are easy to track and measure.

Also, i have to sign up for an adwords account which advertises these companies on Google, Yahoo, etc. I have to pay so much for each time someone clicks on these websites for the companies. If someone makes a purchase then the company will share the profit with me. I just want to know if this is profitable before I’m obligated to basically pay for advertising.

Starting an online business is not at all a great deal!!! However making it profitable is the real challenge for any online marketer.If you want to make money online, that’s great, but you need a system. You need to follow the strategies which are aleready tried n tested & are used by those fortunate folks who could make their fortune on the internet. Don’t re-invent the wheel – don’t make the mistake of wasting time and money in developing a product.Because you know nothing (I believe so) at the moment about internet marketing. So you must work with someone who can prove their system – be cautious and careful. You need to crawl first before you can walk or run – the best way to learn is to become an Affiliate Marketer. The main advantage with affiliate marketing is that -suppose the product you are promoting is not selling well due to some reason, you can drop that product & chose something else to sell.In short as an affiliate you are essentially a free-lance marketer – not bound by long-term contracts having a freedom to review / revise / remould your plans as per the demand in the market . (To see the changing demand in the market have a look at these http://buzzyahoo.notlong.com &

There are lots of people out there there — people just like you — who are enjoying the financial freedom that comes with successful affiliate marketing.

Google Arbitrage is not a program offered through Google but if you know how to work it right, Google can certainly become your sponsor and help you pay a bill or two each month. Its based off an old world concept of arbitrage thats being applied to benefit from todays e-commerce traffic.

Ready for Google Arbitrage 101? Here you go

What is it? Google Arbitrage is a system which can be used off a loophole that Google has between the cost of AdWords ads and the profit that can be obtained via the Google AdSense programs.

How does it work? Basically, you create a highly targeted website and set it up for Google AdSense. Your content must contain highly competitive keywords to ensure that you’ll earn the highest possible amount from clicks on your Google AdSense ads. Then you purchase a Google AdWords campaign to attracts visitors to your website. You do this by bidding on very inexpensive keywords that are directly or indirectly related to the website’s content. Once you get your price point and keywords right, Google AdWords will drive traffic to your website very cheaply and that traffic can have their pick on which of the relevant and expensive ads on your website to click on, helping you to earn money from Google Adsense. Thats Google Arbitrage.

How about an example? Here’s a site that is bidding on inexpensive insurance-related keywords and features highly competitive insurance Adsense ads on its site.

How much can you earn? That depends on how crafty you are. If you use a domain you already own, design your site yourself, host it for free or at low cost, and get content for the site (specific to your keyword) for free, then you wont have to pay for much at all. In fact, all youll have to pay for is the Google AdWords campaign and the rest is pure profit.

hi there, I have recently started a campaign with Google ad-words, and have made a bid of 30 c per click.
there was one day where i received 14 clicks… but now I haven’t been getting any clicks at all!

Anyone know how to get best results? I have:
*Added lots and lots of relative keywords….
* Bid 30c per click
*Made placements and bit 30c per click on each placement

Many keywords is not really the only thing that counts, it is better to have less keywords, but ones that are better for your ads. Make sure they are close to the public you are aiming at.
You can also use negative keywords. These will make sure your keywords do not get combined into totally wrong keyphrases. For instance: Your ad is for a bed company, and one of your keywords is ‘bed’. If people search for "in bed with Madonna", your ad will turn up. But, these people are not interested in beds, and thus will not click your ad. And if they do click, chances are small that they will actually buy from your website. Therefor, negative keywords.
It is also very important to know your customers, who are you targeting at? Once you find that out, you can target your ads closer to them, for instance by using other keywords, or by advertising on specific websites, or by timing your ads, and for instance not advertising for a website on homework during the schoolhours, while your public has no access to the internet anyway.
